The origins :
AM.i SIXX: is being the first and only musical group in the world who proudly pays tribute to the book.
The band is an original idea from Karl Bass, known throughout the world for being Nikki Sixx’s double. 
 
He is also the bassist in "CRüED", who has been recognized by Vince Neil himself as "The best tribute to Mötley Crüe".
 
Karl quickly formed an alliance with other musicians who were ready, just like him, to devote their heart and soul to his AM.i SIXX: project. Since then, the group gained the favour of an audience found of new and current hard rock music.
 
The concept is to propose the novelty of not being your conventional band by offering a rock musical tragicomedy, recounting one year in the life of a shattered rock star broken by sex, drugs and rock’n’roll, AM.i SIXX: caught the attention of fans all over the globe.
 
The goal with the upmost respect, is to present a show that outlines the talent and depth of SIXX:A.M’s songs, in locations where the original band could not technically present the show. 

 

Competencies : 

• Karl Bass. Worked in the studio with Mike Gillies (Metallica, Mötley Crüe). Played in several countries including Canada, and several cities in the USA, the Bahamas, England and Finland. He is the founder of AM.i SIXX:. 

 

• David Boissé, singer. Has been in several bands with original material, he is also a sound engineer with a diploma in sound conception. David brings a lot to the band’s sound and musical arrangements. 

 

• Yvan Leclerc, guitarist. A greatly talented musician who teaches guitar, he has played in several well known groups and with artists from Quebec & Canada. Musically, he portrays with the upmost respect and puts a lot of research to reproduce his trademark sound. 

 

• André Aubin, drummer. Winner of "Best Drummer in Canada" title in 2007 (Emergenza International Contest), He has also worked professionally in the studio (Mike Gillies, Doug Adams). He has been on stage everywhere in Canada but also in Finland and England. He is the heartbeat foundation of AM.i SIXX:. 

 
Accomplishments : 

• December 2013 - Toronto, Canada : on stage with CRüED and John Corabi, ex former/singer of Mötley Crüe.

 

• August 2014 - Toronto, Canada : CRüED hired to host the after-show party on the first leg of The North American Final Tour of Mötley Crüe. 
   

 

• October 2014 - Nassau, Bahamas : on stage during the KISS Kruise IV 

 

• Year 2015 Mötley Crüe The Final Tour after-party shows  - Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal Canada. + Buffalo, Chicago and many other towns in the U.S.A. 

 

• December 2015: 

- Karl meets DJ Ashba, SIXX:A.M’s guitarist, and explains the outlines of his future project, AM.i SIXX:. The latter, having no objection and congratulating him on his ambition, mentioned to Nikki Sixx’s wife who was present, that he “had found her husband”. 
 
- CRüED hired by Vince Neil to play in his own club in Las Vegas after Mötley Crüe’s last show in this city. 
 
- CRüED hired on the famous Sunsetstrip and on Hollywood Blvd for the after-show parties of Mötley Crüe’s LAST TWO shows in Los Angeles, CA. 
 

• April 2016 SOLD OUT - Grand Premier of AM.i SIXX: at Bishop's University, Lennoxville, Qc. Canada. 

 

• May 2016 : 

- Twitter : Rose Slanic (General Manager) and Eleven Seven Music liked AM.i SIXX:’s promotional video. 
 
- Nikki Sixx and DJ Ashba « LIKED » the video of an acoustic performance by AM.i SIXX:. 
 
- Rose Slanic "LIKED" a comment to the effect that AM.i SIXX: are ready and available, if needed for the upcoming Broadway musical "The Heroin Diaries". 
 

• June 2016 : 

- Twitter : Rose Slanic follows the band’s account. 

- Dustin Jack, who took several pictures of Nikki Sixx, comments "Looks good" about one of Karl’s picture. 
 
Social media response :
Launched in October 2015, the band AM.i SIXX: quickly built a solid reputation, having obtained a very fast response from the public. 
 
Very active on Instagram and Twitter, the band now has a solid fanbase, with people from Canada and the USA but also from countries as Australia, Holland, Switzerland, France, England, Germany, and many other European countries. Also counting on fan's support from countries in Asia and South America.
